Sepsis kills more people than cancer! Help prevent infection!

What do we know about Sepsis?

Sepsis is the biggest killer of humankind!  Sepsis kills more people than cancer!  Sepsis is responsible for 1 in every 5 deaths which equates to approximately 11 million people worldwide every year!

What is Sepsis?

Sepsis is the body's extreme response to an infection.  Sepsis is life-threatening and happens when an infection you already have triggers a chain reaction throughout your body that can lead to tissue damage, organ failure and death if not treated quickly.  Almost any infection can lead to sepsis.  The most frequently identified germs that cause infections that can develop into sepsis include Staphylococcus aureus (staph), Escherichia coli (E.coli) and some types of streptococcus.

What can you do to prevent Sepsis?

Ultimately, without infection, there would be no sepsis.  Our infection control range of products aim to reduce the risk of infection which would consequently reduce the risk of sepsis.

Our Biodis and Formula 429/429+ disinfectant tackle germs that cause infection.  Used as part of your planned preventative maintenance (PPM) routines, you could literally save lives.  Our ULV fogging machines can be used to quickly and safely disperse disinfectant to thoroughly disinfect airborne germs that often get forgotten but that cause so many infections.  Remember the old adage - coughs and sneezes spread diseases!

We have a range of basic and advanced body fluid spill kits that are ready to use on all bodily fluids such as blood, vomit, urine and are fully disposable.  The kits contain Solidifi-ERâ„¢ absorbent granules to solidify the bodily fluids, scoops and scrapers for easy removal, 30ml disinfectant to kill viruses, bacteria and fungi and various PPE and clinical waste accessories.

It is also important to ensure all used needles are discarded safely into an approved sharps bin for disposal by incineration.
